In addition to the delights offered at the Warren, abersoch village with its excellent choice of clothing shops, craft centres, art galleries, cafes, bars, bistros and restaurants is only a few minutes in the car or a 45minute stroll along the beach from the Warren at low tide.

This part of the Llyn Peninsula is renowned for its great walking, sailing and excellent climate; indeed it is not uncommon to see sun bathers on the beach in winter! There are also three good golf courses; Abersoch, Pwllheli and Nefyn and for the surfers amongst you, the waves of Hells Mouth and Whistling sands are just a short car ride away. Other activities include; wakeboarding, waterskiing, diving, power boating, windsurfing, clay pigeon shooting, pony trekking and there are plenty of places to go fishing with spectacular views.

Less energetic things to do include; Pwllheli town with its Wednesday market, Criccieth castle, Ffestiniog railway at Porthmadog, Llechwedd slate caverns and Portmeirion Italian village.

A variety of events take place here throughout the year; summer 2009 saw the Abersoch Jazz Festival in June and the annual Wakestock wakeboarding and music festival in July. There was a packed calendar of sailing events at SCYC during the season including the Abersoch Regatta and the annual West Coast Surf Open took place in October 2009.
